Soros' Man in Britain

The following comment in the seeded article is doubly false:

"Moreover, the 53-year-old [Malloch] Brown was until recently one of the operatives for left-wing financier George Soros, and has a record of harsh words for both the conservative American media as well as the United States itself."

Brown is hardly an "operative" of Soros and Soros (one of the wealthiest capitalists in the world) is hardly "left-wing".

Who is George Soros? George Soros is an outstanding Jewsih Hungarian American investor and philanthropist (only recently outdone in his enormous philanthropy - hundreds of millions of dollars annually - by Bill and Melinda Gates), Holocaust hero as a teenager, Holocaust survivor, an American patriot and accordingly a pro-Israel critic of dangerous Israel Lobby, AIPAC disortion of US foreign policy (see his article in the New York Review of Books: link ). He is a severe critic of Bush (as are most decent human beings) and has called for the "de-Nazification" of Bush America (see: link ).

George Soros is credited with playing a major part in the democratization of Eastern Europe and the downfall of European Communism through his focussed finacial support for academic pursuits, scholarship and what he calls the "open society". He graduated from the London School of Economics and studied under Sir Karl Popper (Soros was very sensibly much taken with the Popperian definition of scientific method i.e. the critical testing of potentially falsifiable hypotheses).
