Planned Parenthood Targets Teens "Down There"

advertisement

Planned Parenthood took me "Down There" and exposed it all. The self-evident wrongheadedness of their thinking, that is.

A new campaign waged by the abortion provider is as crass as its name suggests. But it is more than that. It is an expose — in that most pithy and au courant of forms, web video — of why we get nowhere in America when we talk about sex education.

The "Take Care Down There" campaign takes shape in web videos of young people talking about threesomes and sexually transmitted diseases, because that's all kids could ever talk about, right?

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

This is more of the wrong-headed and ineffective approach that Planned Parenthood has taken over the years. It goes beyond information to advocating certain behaviors.

Wrong headed and ineffective it certainly is. It is also considered, measured and deliberate. The motivation for this is beyond my comprehension, Tom. Perhaps you would care to offer an opinion since my current incredulity prevents me from doing so at this time.

Planned Parenthood, by continually taking an approach that defies common sense and is usually contrary to the wishes of good parents, has done more to promote sexual promiscuity in the past three decades than virtually any other organization. By enabling and at times encouraging the sexualization of our young people, Planned Parenthood is perpetuating the problems rather than solving them.

Thank you, Tom. I remain incandescent, but agree wholeheartedly.
